The Manawatu Gorge Scenic Reserve has a distinctive landscape with steep greywacke ranges covered in native vegetation. The Manawatu Gorge Loop Track is located at the Woodville end of the Manawatu Gorge Track approximately 15 km east of Palmerston North. Turn off State Highway 3 onto Ballance Gorge Road and cross the Ballance Bridge to the carpark at the track entrance.
