Had a great day kayaking in Abel Tasman National Park with Samantha & Dave from the UK. Hired two double kayaks from Abel Tasman Kayaks at Marahau and paddled north past Apple Tree bay and had a break at Stilwell Bay. From here we crossed the channel and checked out the NZ fur seals on the north and eastern shores of Adele Island before stopping for lunch at the small, sheltered Storm Cove. Then paddled back to Stilwell bay before returning back south down the coast to Marahau. 17km, approx 3.5hrs paddling in ideal conditions, expect to generally take longer than this.
