Te Ara Ahi trail starts at the Princess Gate Archway, a short ride from the lake front. From here you travel through the Government Gardens and around the Rotorua Lakefront and Sulphur point through a Thermal area. From there it’s a short ride around to Rotorua Mountain Bike car park, gateway to the Whakarewarewa Forest, also known as the Redwoods. Distance from lake to Rotorua MTB - 10Kms over paved and gravel paths.
